Have you pre-registered Apple iPhone 3G with Airtel/Vodafone?

Apple iPhone 3G will be available in India from August 22, 2008. It will be available in 8GB & 16GB models, priced at Rs 31,000 and Rs 36,100 respectively.Remember 1$ is approximately equal to 40 – 41 Rs. That means 8GB & 16GB will cost 775$ and 903$ respectively in India.

I think that this is not a good pricing for the 2nd largest cell phone market(India). Actual price of iPhone is 199$ and 299$ for 8GB & 16GB respectively.

Hope Airtel and Vodafone want to grab the money of those who can afford this price tag. And I am very much sure that, the prices will come down to earth soon.

Where can you make this advance payment?
The iPhone 3G will be available at select Vodafone Stores. All you need to do is drop in at any select Vodafone Store between August 20 and 21 and make the advance payment by cash or credit card. Don´t forget to show the iPhone booking SMS, which you would have received from Vodafone, when you visit the Vodafone Store to pay the advance. To find a Vodafone Store near you, click here

Till now only Vodafone has announced the cost of iPhone that they are selling, and I am sure that Airtel will also have almost the same price. Because they will be having several meeting to fix a price for iPhone from the day iPhone was released.

Its a very good phone to buy, but I am not so rich to go and buy it now. I will have to wait until the price comes down or until I get rich. Hope the prices will fall soon.

What I like about iPhone is its large applications available, large screen, “3G”(which is yet to come, shortly, in India), touch screen, music and …….what not! It has almost everything that I expected a phone to have.

Its almost a Mac machine(computer), as it has 400Mhz processor with 64 or 128MB of Random Access Memory(RAM), and 8 to 16 GB of hard drive.

And I feel that its a very good competitor to Black Berry. And its a good phone and highly recommended(if you can afford!). Though there are many people complaining about its 3G quality and One of Apple’s own message boards, incidentally, filled up with hundreds of negative comments — but Apple has since shut the thread down, saying it was “too long” and was causing browsers to “time out.”

Simple Mathematical Trick — logical thinking

I have a friend who is intelligent, but he doesn’t like maths, and he is not able to learn many basic things in mathematics, So I shared many of my schooldays tricks with him and he was very happy. In all those tricks I found this one as the most simple and interesting trick. This might be an old trick for many of you, if you already know such tricks then please share it with us in the comment section. Many people who are scared about mathematics will get a lot of help from your knowledge, so please share it in the comment section.

Go through this article, if you are a computer programmer. You can use this logic to implement in your programs. And by going through this type of tricks your logical thinking ability will be enhanced and you can write better programs with minimum coding. I have already written C, C++ and Java programs implementing such simple mathematical tricks and they have very little coding and many people get stuck in understanding the logic behind those programs, but to their wonder the program will be working fine.

Here is the trick…

9 x 1 = 9

9 x 2 = 18

9 x 3 = 27

9 x 4 = 36

9 x 5 = 45

9 x 6 = 54

9 x 7 = 63

9 x 8 = 72

9 x 9 = 81

9 x 10 = 90

Now observe the results of multiplication… there are 2 digits in the resulting numbers, i.e.,

Observe the like colors above. The numbers in “blue” color are ascending numbers(arranged from the smallest to the largest number) and the numbers in “gray” are descending numbers(arranged from the largest to the smallest number) and the combination would be the multiplication table for 9, till infinity.

Above mentioned method is easier than:-

9 + 0 = 9

9 + 9 = 18

9 + 18 = 27

9 + 27 = 36

9 + 36 = 45

9 + 45 = 54

9 + 54 = 63

9 + 63 = 72

9 + 72 = 81

9 + 81 = 90

9 + 90 = 99

till infinity.

Google face Lawsuit in India

hate-writing MUMBAI — An Indian, Mumbai-based Gremach Infrastructure Equipments & Projects Ltd Company is demanding that Google Inc. disclose the name of a person who used its blogging service, in a case that could change the way the Internet giant does business in India. The blogger known as “Toxic Writer,” is accused of attacking the Mumbai-based Gremach in what they are calling it as a “hate campaign.”

Many people just feel that, the decision by Indian Court is not fair, but think from the perspective of the company. If the so called “Hate Campaign” is being done by the company rivals or some anti-social elements ?

Indian court is not so foolish to give decision without reading what that guy has written in his blog. Ofcourse this decision will make many bloggers get scared, but don’t worry until you write somethink that has been written after some good research and thinking. Don’t just write to get the attention of others.

The only sad thing is, Google is being sued here. And as usual, Google need to give the private information of the blogger to the court! This will surly scare some of us. Previously we saw, how Google was forced to hand over complete YouTube user histories to Viacom, in a case of copyright issue.

The “Toxic Writer” blog was taken down, and Google’s Indian subsidiary is claiming they are not responsible for the Blogger.com service.

Google has been instructed to reveal the identity of an anonymous blogger in a defamation lawsuit filed by an Indian construction company against them, reports the Wall Street Journal.

“One of the most common places for people to sue, because they will generally win, are nations that are or have formerly been part of the British Commonwealth, where there is no First Amendment, and the law looks more toward protecting the reputation of people than protecting the free speech of speakers,” Watson told Wired.com.

“Google which is an American corporation enjoys a great deal of protection here in the United States, but in the rest of the world, it’s subject to the laws of wherever these articles or communications are published,” he added.

Feedburner Chicklet after Migration

Have you observed the change in the Feedburner Chicklet, after your feeds have been migrated from feedburner to Google?
Previously you could see the label “By Feedburner”. After the migration, that label has been marked with black color, making it almost not visible.
But I feel that, Google would have easily changed the image and labeled it “By Google”. Hope they are not so serious about their brand name! or they may be hard at work in changing this simple image!

As far as my observation, Google had never been left behind in branding, promoting its products, let it be a payed one or the free service. Its brand name “Google” itself brings more value and focus of many people around the world.

Hope Google will soon do something to this Chicklet image, and use it to brand themselves with the Free feed service.

Food, water ratio for good health

Welcome to Saturday health tip, on Technotip.org..

Our health condition mainly depends on what kind of food we intake. Many may suggest to have less food, to be active and to perform better, but I think this is OK for people of age more than 50 – 60. I feel that, we should eat sufficiently. And teenagers mainly need to eat sufficiently, orelse you may have to face some problems in your older age.

Now to remain active even after having sufficient food, you need to drink more water. But this should be scientifically handled. Drinking more water while having food is not recommended, as the acids generated in your digestive system get diluted by water and the digestion process will not go smoothly.

In between having food, you may drink some quantity of water, this will not have any effect, but avoid drinking more water. Do not drink more water before 30 minutes of your food time.

After 1 or 2 hr gap, after your food, drink more water without fail, even if you are not feeling thirsty. People think that, they should drink water only when they feel thirsty, but its not true always. In busy lifestyle of many people, they just forget to drink water or avoid it just to save some time.

Water is like a natural medicine. It helps remove toxic content from our blood, it helps remove excess heat from our body, it helps us maintain our health and beauty, drinking more water can cure pimples and rashes, its a best medicine for inactive people. And people who are taking lot of so called English Medicines should drink more water orelse you will be a permanent guest to your Doctor.

Its ironical that, people now a days have started drinking cool drinks( Pepsi, coco cola, Mirinda, 7Up, Fanta ), hot drinks(alcoholic), wine more than water, by paying money. I think we would have drunk water more, if it had cost us some bucks!

Having junk food along with these cool/hot drinks would be like punishing our health. But who can avoid it? Seriously speaking, do not have this type of food habit regularly. Once in a while having such food can be an excuse for weekends!

Anyway, I am not opposing these artificially stored and manipulated natural drinks(cool/hot drinks) and junk food, I just feel that, it should not exceed the limit. And it should be completely avoided, if its not good for health.

“Be Good to those who drink excess alcohol, as they may not be with us longer!”

AdSense for Feeds, is rolled over to all publishers

With frequent hints from Feedburner, today all publishers account got AdSense for Feed in their account. Previously it was available only to some selective AdSense publishers.

I was excited to start using it, but when I rushed to “get started”, I saw a message that said- “You have no feeds in your account yet.”

After that I realized that, our feeds must be first migrated from our old feeds to Google.

I already have my feedburner account and I wanted to transfer it to Google, and that was too easy to do….

Just drop an email to adsense-support-aff@google.com with the following details…

Your FeedBurner account username

The Google Account email address you use to sign in to AdSense

I wrote to Google with the following Subject “Migrate all of my feeds, from feeds.feedburner.com to Google “, to make sure that my email is read.

Thats it, all your feeds will be migrated to Google.

3 Mobile Apps that I use and recommend

1. Opera mini — The fastest and the powerful browser for Symbian 60 serious.

2. FS Caller.

3. Nimbuzz / free download — This is an ultimate software for mobile phones(which has internet connection). This software is an all in one package. You can stay connected to your friends using its Orkut, Facebook, yahoo! messenger, Skype, Windows live messenger, Gtalk, AIM, ICQ, Jabber etc. And you can call, chat from mobile to PC with anyone(who has this apps on PC) and anywhere. Its camera(webcam) feature is an ultimate thing I have seen so far, in a mobile software. If you have a mobile with internet connection, then do not miss installing this software. And happily it costs nothing. yes its a free to use software.

And I use some more common software like FileMan, SmartMoviePlayer, and very few games. And I am not a big fan of music players, as the music files work perfectly in my default player of Nokia 6630.

I will be online most of the times using my mobile, using Opera-mini. I usually visit many blogs and read articles regularly using my mobile. When I am in front of my Computer, I concentrate only on writing articles. And I visit and read a few, selective blogs from my computer.

These are some minimum things I use in my mobile.
