As I was doing a bit of research about ad networks, and I found a ad network, which claims to be the best adnetwork.
When I visited their website, I saw Google Adsense ads on their homepage!
Now let me not mention its name and ruin its business.
Now how can you promote any product/service when yourselves don’t have 100% belief on your product/service.
When they use Adsense, that means Adsense gives more revenue then their ad network.
I know that this Adnetwork is only for some countries and they mainly target, contents that interests those country visitors- This is cool 🙂 .. But the cost per click is too low 🙁 . Anyway, one of my personal opinion is– do not use your rivals products/service or competitors product/service and try to promote your service/product, people will never get confidence in your product/service if you do like this.
Many loyal customers may also turn their face from you. You should use your products/service and show others that you have full faith in what you are promoting/using/recommending. Be a model yourself, when it comes to using your products/services.
And many of you may think that, this ad network may be for those people who have been banned from Adsense. I guess, thats not at all true. Think from the perspective of the advertising company or the adnetwork company. Do you think that, they will prefer to have someone as their publisher, who have been banned from a reputed company(Google) for violating their terms? I know that many of you may say that Google banned me for no reason. But do you think people in the same business trust you? It is business…even if you are telling truth, they won’t care, as they don’t want to take any risk with their business(which involves so much of investment).
So I think, the proper way of promoting a product/service is to use it ourselves and show the rest, how to make use of it effectively.
I have learn’t a lot from different well-known adnetworks….they never use any advertisements on their website(atleast not from other networks!), as they do not want to redirect their customers to any other websites at any cost. <-- Hope you got these lines.
I would never use any adnetwork or any advertisements on my website, if I am selling any of my products or services for money. It will be like killing a "hen which lays golden egg", if you use advertisements on a website(dedicated to sell your product/services) where you sell your own products/services.

Here is the details(screen shot) that I got in my Twittad account after activating the advertisement.
To kick start their business, they have started self promotion(they have started advertising about Twittad itself). I think all the twitter users who have signedup for Twittad and have set the price tag 5$ and below, have got this email from Twittad. This campaign is better than providing 5$ bonus for signingup as Twittad publisher 🙂 . And there is nothing to worry for Twittad, because they promise to pay only when your account reaches 20$ ! Hope no one will reach it(atleast not in the near future).
And I don’t think this concept is going to work. Because I myself rarely visit anybodies profile while I am chatting to them on Twitter. So where is the value for advertisers?
I had just signed up for Twittad out of curiosity. And I even fear that, my twitter account may get banned for using it for making some bugs!

We were looking at our AdSense account and wanted to test a feature in it…” Allowed Sites “. Login to your AdSense account and click on the “AdSense Setup” tab, there you can see the option “Allowed Sites“, click on it.
There choose “Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account“, there, list all the URLs where you are using your AdSense Ads and click on Save Changes. Now just leave it and visit the same page again after a week.
Below the Save Changes Button, there will be a list of “Unauthorized Sites“, which will be using your adsense codes!
Actually its cool right, someone using our ad codes and helping us earn more! But wait, just see who are using your ads? Technotip.org is still a new blog and I was shocked to see even the porn sites Using our ad codes! and many other URLS which required password to access. We just rescued our AdSense account from getting banned, by using “Allowed Site” feature.
Just opt into “Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account” option and make sure that your ads are not used on illegal sites.I don’t know what these people will get by including our adsense ads on their blog. By listing our URLs ourselves, we will rescue our AdSense a/c. And by using “Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account”, we will not get paid for the clicks and impressions from other URLs displaying our Ad codes.
Do not forget to list these URLs:-
1. Your sites/blogs/forums. If all these are in the same domain, then just give its homepage URL once.
2. 209.85.171.104 — Google Translator
3. stumbleupon.com — As people may open your blog from within Stumbleupon to vote/stumble your article.
And keep checking your adsense account to see all those sites which are using your ads, if you see one which is not offensive(Ex:- like Google Translator etc), then just include that URL in your list.
By this you will be securing your account.

I am just using one 125 x 125 ad spot in this blog and that itself is yielding me good payment each month. The revenue share that I get for each click is more than that I get from AdSense. Today we shall see how we can replace or redirect Public Service Ad ( PSA ) of AdSense effectively. By specifying a color, image, HTML page, or ad server of your choice, you can make sure that your advertising space is always being used effectively.
PSA are shown because, there are no relevant advertisements to be shown on your blog or you are violating certain rules set by Google Adsense.
Lets believe that we all have good contents, keywords and following all rules in our blog, but still there are chances of PSA being shown on our blog, in some other country. Because, there may not be any ads configured to show in some regions. Lets say that, some ads may work in United States, but may show Public Service Ads in India. This is because, Google AdWord players can select certain regions to display their ads. This is called Geo-targeting.
So lets see, what we can do to make sure that there are no PSA displayed in our blog, in any country.
Alternate Ads Guide
Log into your AdSense account, click on setup tab. Choose AdSense for Content. There choose either Ad Unit or Link Unit and click Continue. Now you will get the option to show alternate Ads for PSA.
1. Color: Choose a color from the color picker(or enter any hexadecimal color code) and it will show the solid color when there are no ads to serve. Best practice would be, to choose the same color as the background of your website, so that the ad block seem to disappear.
2. Image or non- clickable image ad: If you’d like to use an image as your alternate ad, click the Show non-Google Ad from another URL radio button and enter the fully defined URL of the image in the Alternate ad text box. A fully defined URL is one that includes the http:// and ends with the image file name. Make sure that the image has the same dimensions as that of your ad slot.or else the images would be croped to the right and bottom edges.
For example:
http://www.google.com/logos/Logo_60wht.gif
For an ad with 250X250 dimension, choose an image exactly of 250X250.
Using this method, we can show some messages like “Subscribe to Technotip.org” in image format and we can encourage them to comeback again.
3. HTML page or clickable image ad: Below image is a self explanatory tutorial….
Open a text editor (Ex:- notepad) and follow below image for coding your own HTML page.
Use absolute URLs: Use absolute URLs when you’re coding this HTML page. An absolute URL is one that includes the entire, fully-defined path. This ensures that you won’t run into any errors when placing the code on various pages of your site.
Use target="_top": this code tells your browser which window to use when loading the destination page of your clickable image.Specifying the HTML page as your alternate ad
Now save the code with the extension .html (Ex:- alternate_250x150.html) and upload it to your server or to anywhere which is accessible from internet.(But for faster access upload it to the server where your website is hosted).
In the alternate ads text box, simply enter the fully defined path of the saved HTML page.
For example: http://www.yoursitename.com/folder-name-if-any/alternate_250x150.html
Click Continue to add your alternate ad selection to the code in your publisher account.
Using this technique we can show some referral ads or affiliate ads or we can even generate some image ads and connect it to some of the popular articles inside our site itself.
4. Collapsing ad units:
Collapsing ad units are an optional advanced feature of alternate ads — the collapsing ad unit code will ‘collapse’ your ad unit so that it takes up no page space if there are no targeted ads available. This allows you to minimize any blank space that would otherwise occur through the use of alternate colors, as the content around the ad unit will shift up to fill the empty space.
Copy this file to any location on your domain. Important: if you are running ads on multiple domains or subdomains, you will need to host this file on each of your domains and subdomains in order to use the collapsing ad units feature.
In the Alternate Ads URL text box, enter the fully defined path to the collapsing ad units HTML file on your domain. For example: http://www.yoursitename.com/folder-name-if-any/google_adsense_script.html
Click Continue.
Remember that, if you are using the ad codes in more than one website, then you need to upload this google_adsense_script.html file to all the servers, in order to use it.
