What is ‘differential import’ even supposed to do?
Its supposed to be a smart feature where it only imports the photos that are missing on your smartphone/tablet.
The problem
But right now it’s either not importing the new photos/videos or it sometime imports the old(previously imported) photos and videos again. The settings to disable ‘differential import’ is not very intuitive either.
Disable ‘differential import’
Step 1: Open ‘Sony Creator App’ in your smartphone or tablet.
Step 2: Click on ‘Operate your camera” button. OR click on the phone icon in the bottom tabs.
Step 3: You can see some options under the label “Functions available with your camera”. Scroll down to see “Others”. Click on it.
Step 4: Select “Differential import settings”.
Step 5: Disable the “Use differential import” using the toggle button.
I spend couple of hours trying different settings in Sony Creator app and in my camera to import the photos with so success. I knew that there use to be a “Import” button in place of this new “differential import” button. So thought, maybe there is some way to disable this and get back the “import” and I finally found it.
