I am excited. We couldn’t recognize how the time passed. A year back, I had started this blog to share whatever I have learnt about internet. Now with this blog and all you readers and commentators, I have learnt a lot. This motivates me to keep blogging, keep sharing.

I had the plan of starting a blog, and bought the hosting on June 1st[that's the actual date our blog was live], but on 18th June, it officially got a new, professional design and I took the blog seriously, as a main place for me to stay online.

I am busy with my exams now a days, so we will not be having a blast party here, this time. I am writing this post to thank all the readers of our blog and would like to ask your support for coming years too.
We are committed to provide value to all our readers and we take all your feedback in a constructive manner and would like to improve constantly to make Technotip.org a better place.

20 Years of Partnership Ends: Oracle & Sun Microsystems

Oracle Corporation and Sun Microsystems Inc were business partners from over 20 years and now they have entered a definitive agreement and Oracle is standing on its toes to acquire Sun Microsystems.
We had previously seen many acquisition by Oracle. It use to purchase other small data base related companies and now it has targeted a really big deal.

Sun Microsystems, Inc. and Oracle Corporation announced on Monday April 20, 2009, that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Oracle will acquire Sun common stock for $9.50 per share in cash. The transaction is valued at approximately $7.4 billion, or $5.6 billion net of Sun’s cash and debt.

Sun Solaris operating system is the leading platform for the Oracle database. With this acquisition, Oracle can work to further optimize its database for Solaris, with continued support to other open source Operating Systems.

With this acquisition, Java would be the asset of Oracle, and thus we can now see Oracle in almost all the new devices like mobile phones, micro ovens etc.

This deal is almost a confirmed one, but it still has some pending formalities. And the most important factor now is the approval from Sun stockholders. With this acquisition Sun stockholders will also be benefited, so things may just run smoothly.

We expect Oracle’s support, innovation and investment in Java technology for the benefit of customers and the Java community.

Brand New Tata Nano — People’s CAR

We are very much excited about the launch of this small car, which is called as “People’s Car” because of its affordable price.
We are not Car experts to write a good review about Tata Nano, but we proudly present some photos and videos of Tata Nano.
Heard in News that, Tata had lost almost 75% in stock market previously(not sure why!). And now Tata is believed to be depending on this small car for much of its future. Its kind of weired to know this, as Tata Motors was/is famous for Big vehicles and it now relies on this small car.
Anyway, I wish Tata Motors and Ratan Tata a great success with this new innovative model.

Tata Group – Keeping pace with the world:

We are sure that other car manufacturers will be standing on their toes to launch similar cost effective cars, but will surly wait and see for the fate of Tata Nano. Best of luck to all guys..

YouTube Logo Colour Scheme Changed? — Not Really

I got email from my friends who said me — “Hey YouTube logo has been changed, you write about it first on your blog, so that you rank well”. Thanks for their concern.

But actually the logo colour scheme has been changed only for one day. The green colour logo is to show its support to Saint Patrick’s Day. No official mention, but yet I am confirmed that YouTube have no intention to change its logo.

I am writing this post mainly to show my support for the Green and to share below screen shot with you people.

St. Paddy’s Day or simply Paddy’s Day, is an annual feast day which celebrates Saint Patrick, one of the patron saints of Ireland, and is generally celebrated on March 17.

The day is the national holiday of Ireland. It is a bank holiday in Northern Ireland and a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland and Montserrat. In Canada, Great Britain, Australia, the United States, and New Zealand, it is widely celebrated but is not an official holiday.

As part of celebration people wear green dress, eat Irish food and/or green food, take Irish drink (such as Irish stout, Irish Whiskey or Irish Cream). Don’t you think now a days people have started celebrating by eating, dressing and drinking rather than really helping to build the real green, the Nature. Just my wage thoughts

Microsoft Testing Kumo! – Rumoured to be new Search Engine

Microsoft is trying all possible ways to get a prominent share in Online Search Market! With its failure in acquiring Yahoo!(which is much of a failure of Yahoo! ), Microsoft is said to be hard at work implementing a new search product by name Kumo. Kumo is a Japanese word, meaning cloud and spider. Its still in its testing face and the code name is Kumo, and nothing sure that the new search product will be named as Kumo. Infact kumo.com is not even accessible to public and is only available inside its corporate network.[One thing is sure that Kumo.com is registered by Microsoft, so the story becomes even stronger ]

Kumo may be a new search algorithm that Microsoft is testing to implement in its live search or it may be just trying to re-brand its live search by making some changes to its live search(with new name). But we are not expecting the same old wine in the new bottle..for GOD’s sake or for Microsoft’s sake!

Have to wait and see whether Microsoft can play any new game or change the existing game! as Google had done with its entry into the search market.
